FAQs

Q: What is a life coach?

A: A life coach is a professional who helps people achieve their dreams in their careers, relationships and finances.

Q: What types of people benefit from life coaching?

A: Anyone who wants to create a more satisfying and successful life can benefit from coaching. People needing help navigating their way through transitions can find coaching especially beneficial.

Q: How should people go about selecting a life coach?

A: Selecting a life coach is a very personal experience. Anyone considering working with a coach should ask about the coach’s background, areas of expertise, coaching style and rates. Potential coaching clients should also request a sample coaching session to determine compatibility and fit.

Q: How would you describe your coaching style?

A: I think it’s important to be positive and encouraging with my coaching clients. Life can be hard and most people are very self-critical, so I believe in instilling confidence and helping people experience success. But I’m also very direct, sometimes even blunt, in my feedback and guidance because I really want people to take action to transform their lives. If people need a reality check to get on with their lives, it’s my job to give it to them.

Q: How do you differ from other life coaches?

A: I bring my whole self to the coaching experience. Having lived through challenges in my own life and with my family like bankruptcy, chronic illness, step-parenting, addiction and even the conviction and prison sentencing of a family member, I have a lot of personal experience in overcoming obstacles. I share the specific tools as well as the spiritual practices that helped me get through the tough times and create a highly satisfying life.

Q: How did you train to become a coach?

A: In addition to the professional and personal experience I bring to my work, I trained under Libby Gill, internationally respected business coach and author. Libby helped me hone my coaching skills and learn how to further develop my gifts, so I could help other people create meaningful lives.

Q: How does coaching work in terms of logistics?

A: If they are local to the Dallas area, I meet with clients in my office once a week to develop an action plan, start taking steps toward their goals, and to overcome obstacles as they move forward. If they live in another area of the country, the coaching takes place by phone conference. For both local or distant clients, If they need me between coaching sessions – when much of the work actually happens – I am always available by phone or email.

Q: What are your rates for coaching?

A: My rates vary, depending upon the clients’ needs and time frames. But I am happy to discuss rates during the initial coaching consultation, which I offer free of charge.

Q: How do people find out about working with you?

A: The best thing to do is to call me at my office 972-661-9872 or contact me via email () to set up a complimentary coaching session.
